Long term programs

Our international and Spanish students are entitled to a global learning experience based on the different training itineraries that GSD International School Buitrago offers .

Foundation Year Program

Foundation Year is an intensive immersion course in Spanish language and culture. Students take a Spanish course (20 hours per week in small groups) combined with attending classes of different subjects with Spanish students. At the end of the course, they will be able to get an official certificate through Instituto Cervantes (SIELE). When the students finish this program they might join the IB, National Baccalaureate or Vocational Studies programmes.

International Baccalaureate, Diploma Program (IBDP)

Our IB program is based on an active, experience-based learning methodology, viewed from individual and collective perspectives, and in constant contact with our local and global environments.

GSD International School accepts students from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds, we foster active learning and an enriched educational background through living together among Spanish and International students to discover different realities and cultures.

GSD International School Buitrago has an array of options for its students to be able to enroll in its National Immersion Baccalaureate, simultaneously learning Spanish and culture where necessary.

Complementary classes in sports such as swimming and soccer are also available thanks to the experience of our Sports Club and magnificent installations.

Dual Vocational Training

Vocational Training stands out thanks to its focus on employment. Companies require employees able to perform tasks in dynamic, international environments; hence, one of GSD’s key focuses is to prepare its students for job market demands.

Vocational training programs provide instruction complementary to theoretical training to thus prepare students for the working world.

At GSD International School Buitrago, Vocational Training classes involve global mentalities in an open and multi-cultural environment, thereby providing students the opportunity to participate in international traineeships.
